Zeno's heat-shock kills pimple causing bacteria.
Designed for people with mild to moderate inflammatory acne, the Zeno will help clear up your skin and eliminate pimples from you life. In the case of acne, the P. acnes bacterium is the root cause of 90 percent of all acne pimples. Pimples occur when excess skin oil and flaking skin plug the opening of a hair follicle and create the ideal environment for the bacteria to grow. When the bacteria die, the pimple goes away. The proprietary Zeno technology triggers a heat shock response in microorganisms that cause skin lesions, bringing about the self-destruction of those bacteria and allowing the skin to return to a healthy, normal state. Zeno is designed to safely heat an acne lesion to a pre-set temperature range known to generate heat shock response. Heat shock response is a reaction bacteria have to heat whereby they transcript a number of genes and activate heat-shock proteins. These heat-shock proteins participate in the bacteria's death by causing the bacteria to self-destruct. It may sound like a complicated process, but the results are as easy as they come; simply put, you can kiss your pimples goodbye.

A safe, painless, and effective acne treatment, Zeno can clear up a pimple in just hours. Two to three 2.5-minute treatments spread over 24 hours are sufficient for most pimples. While most other medications can take days, or even weeks, to work, Zeno is often effective after only one treatment. As for side effects, patients included in Zeno's clinical trials experienced little reaction to the low-level heat. Other than some temporary skin redness following a treatment cycle, no other adverse side effects were reported.

Features:
  • Clinically proven to reduce and resolve 86% of acne pimples with two to three 2.5-minute applications in a 24-hour period
  • Utilizes ClearPoint Technology which delivers a dose of precisely controlled heat to kill acne-causing bacteria
  • Each replacement tip cartridge contains 90 treatment cycles
  • Portable, hand-held rechargeable device easy to use
  • One of the most effective acne treatments available without a prescription

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - about that price tip
Yes, Walgreens sells this cheaper. Be aware that the walgreens tip is only good for 50 treatments. The more expensive version is good for 90 treatments which makes it a better deal. I love this product. I do not get ordinary acne. I get the deep, under the skin kind that you can feel long before you can see it. I used to treat it with hot, moist compresses which took days to be effective. The Zeno clears them up in a day or two if I catch them right away.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Price TIP
FYI - Walgreen's Drugs sells for $149 and the replacement tips for $25. Much better price. Just purchased yesterday and can't wait to try. A friend of mine 24 years ago was married to a Doctor and told me of the advantages of zapping high intensity heat into a pimple to destroy the bacteria and make it heal. Apparently, it has taken this long for someone to actually put it all together and market it. Good for them! Sounds like it is a good product that is in fact helping most.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Finally! Something that WORKS!!
I have used literally THOUSANDS of "acne clearing" products and this is the first one I have ever found that works. Admittedly, I've only been using it for a few weeks and hopefully, it will not stop working (this is true of many products once your skin gets used to the product), but until then, I have seen pimples disappear before my eyes. Honestly, I can't reccommend it enough, and if you're worried about the cost, add up the cost you've spent on all those products in the medicine cabinet (none of which work) and see how much they've cost over the years. That's what I did and gave it a shot. I'm glad I did!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works like a charm!
I have been using this product for about 6 months now with great results. It has worked on all my pimples from whiteheads to blackheads to deep pimples. I basically use it on the pimple (when it first comes up) until the pimple is gone. I have had to replace my tip once during this time (it lasts about 90 uses before it needs to be replaced...you will know because it shows one blue light left to warn you that you have almost used up the tip life...once you use all the tip life, it won't start again until you replace the tip). I am so happy that a product is finally out there for pimples that does not dry out my skin...and it actually works! Zeno is well worth the initial price and the $35 for replacement tips too.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Was great while it worked...
This product really does work. I enjoyed it. But it stopped working altogether after a few months. A bit expensive for such a short time.

Pop Music Reviews

CLLCT - The Collective Family An online community of indipendent musicians who have made their music free to download. No, it's not myspace.
(disclaimer: I have a profile there too, but nothing that I haven’t also posted on mefi.music. Apart from that I have nothing else to do with running or maintaining the site.)

Originally the 001collective, cllct is a community (or a collective if you will) of musicians dedicated to giving away their music for free on the internet. I randomly found the original 001 site while looking for online communities to post my own home recordings to. Not long after I signed up, the site changed to its current format under the new name cllct.

There is some phenomenal music to be found there, from the cuteness overload of Shelby Sifers, to the mature stylings of Generous Alzir, and even the off-kilter experiments of the Secret Owl Society (who is also the man behind the entire site).

Some other favourites of mine include:
21 love songs – a tribute to Magnetic Fields
Fire in the Mountains – James Eric
Pinecones – The Uggamuggas
Macondo – Fox Paws

I hope you enjoy the music!
