Excellent electric razor
Wahl 7397-500 factory refurbished electric shaver is an excellent razor with close and clean shave, looks like brand new in package,with very reasonable price.I received it in gray color. I charged it for 18 hours before using it for the first time about two weeks ago and it still has kept the charge and I use it every morning. It seems to have an excellent battery life. The only negative point is that this razor does not come with a storage case or bag, but I still give it 5 stars and highly recommend it. I received it in a great condition with fast delivery by Goodman.

Nice Shaver, but not perfect
I like this shaver. It's an above-average foil shaver. It's not the closest electric shave I have ever had, but it's in the top three, and I have owned probably a dozen shavers during my adult life.

No Razor Burn Yippee!
This little razor is great,refurbished but like new,great close shave and the thing i like best is no neck razor burn.. i bought a expensive triple head razor and it chewed my neck to pieces and this little cheap razor close shave with no razor burn,Highly recommended

Almost Unbelievable !!!
Short review - Get this!
Longer review - Powerful, efficient, excellent, classic styling, smooth shaves, light in the hand, well built and with great ergonomics, NOTHING (no other electric shaver) you can buy will do a better job than this shaver.
Typically, in order to get a good shave from an electric shaver you need to 'condition' your face by using the new razor, exclusively, for a couple of weeks; especially if switching over from a manual blade-type razor. This shaver gave me excellent results the first time, despite the fact that I have not used an electric shaver in two years. The excellent results can only continue/improve as my face/beard adjusts to using this incredible shaver.
*****Follow the instructions and charge the razor for 18 hours before using for the first time.***** After that, an overnight recharge, about once every two weeks, will do nicely. This helps greatly to get the maximum life and power out of the battery, which is approx 4 to 6 years. (Note: The Nickel-Cadmium battery can be replaced. Replacement instructions are in the manual).
Additionally, the shaver can operate on the different voltages (100 volt to 240 volt and 50 Hz to 60 Hz) throughout the world, (a typical universal plug-adapter is needed, just as with all multi-voltage electrical devices. The shaver, out of the box, is designed for immediate use with 110/120 volt that is typical in the U.S.). This shaver CAN BE operated with the power cord if/when the battery is low (UNLIKE many other electric shavers that require you to partially recharge before use).
Wahl also offers 3 different foil replacements for this model:
1) sensitive skin flex foil
2) close shave flex foil
3) super close flex foil
(Note: the 'foil' is the housing for the cutter assembly and is the part that glides along your face).
The foil that comes with the shaver seems to be the 'close shave flex foil' and it does a great job (as good as a manual 'soap and water' razor and without the cost of expensive replacement blades).
Replacement cutter bar (cutting blades) is available, if needed, but the cutting blades should last for about 2 years of normal use (just turn and gently pull to remove and the reverse to replace).
The accessories (above) are vey reasonably priced ($7.95 for foil or complete [both] cutting blades replacement) and the price INCLUDES shipping and handling. An order form accompanies the product so save the manual.
This unit also has a pop-up sideburn/moustache trimmer that works flawlessly.
What's in the box? The electric/rechargeable razor (complete), a clear plastic snap on/off foil guard (for storage), a cleaning brush for the shaving foil and cutters, the ac adapter/power cord and a user manual (multi-language) including order form for accessory/replacement parts.
I have, over time, tried quite a few of the highly advertised shavers and always with mixed (poor to O.K.) results... With this Wahl shaver there is no 'hype', no 'advertising costs' included in the selling price, and, as far as I can tell, absolutely no 'down side'. Everything about this 'refurbished' shaver is brand new.
Cleaning the razor is a snap... push a button (on the side) and the head/foil lifts off for easy and speedy cleaning (cleaning brush included).
There are many shavers with ridiculous (relative) prices that claim to be (and look) very high-tech and with high-cost replacement parts, but the bottom line is, 'if you want a great shave from a classic-style shaver and at a price that is a 'give-a-way' then this Wahl will do the job for you and then some.
There is much more going on with this shaver, beyond the unbelievable price, .... this shaver does what it is supposed to do... it consistently delivers a clean, close shave and, in my opinion, out-performs the competition, regardless of price-range.
In addition to giving you a genuine 'close shave' this gem will also put a smile on your face! You will look 'very wise' ... and without the beard!

Best Shaver Ever
This shaver is better than new! I was looking for replacement parts for the Wahl I've had for five years. But because of the low price, I thought I'd take a chance on this refurbished model. I swear it's better than new! I've never had such a close shave!
