Editorial Review:

Amazon.comFor children ages 2 to 6 who are too young for oral thermometers, this underarm model works accurately to within +/– 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit. The unique ComfortDisc design comprises two round flat disks turned at an angle to each other, one with a partial metal loop that snuggles under the arm in what’s known as the hotspot, and one that features an on/off button and the easy-to-read LCD display. After four to five minutes the thermometer beeps, signaling that the temperature reading is completed. In order to track the course of a fever, the memory recall function lets you compare the child’s current temperature with the previous reading. Waterproof, the thermometer cleans with soap and water or rubbing alcohol, while soft finger-grips on the sides offer a secure grip. Compact and lightweight with an included battery, the ComfortDisc measures 3-3/4 by 1-1/2 inches. --Ann Bieri
