Editorial Review:

Product DescriptionThe Snore Wizard Mouthpiece The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece is a simple and effective oral device for use in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Made of special soft feel plastic it comes ready to use. There is no heating or moulding required to achieve a correct fit and you still continue to breathe through your mouth. The SnoreWizard moves the lower jaw slightly forward and holds the mouth slightly open. This improves the airflow at the back of the throat and eliminates snoring in most cases. The Snore Wizard was developed by a dental surgeon and the product has undergone numerous clinical trials in which it was found to reduce snoring and sleep apnea in 94% of research subjects. The Snore Wizard was designed to increase the space behind the tongue by bringing the lower jaw (mandible) forward, opening the airway in the throat and eliminating snoring. Why Most People Snore Normally air passes through the throat to the lungs silently and unhindered. In snorer's however, fatty tissue, tonsils and adenoids can narrow passageways, creating turbulence that makes the throat tissue vibrate. The problem can be exacerbated by excess body weight and/or excessive alcohol consumption prior to sleeping. Snoring has nothing to do with the nostrils. How To Best Prevent Snoring Snoring will not occur if the airway in the throat remains open. This can be accomplished by holding your lower jaw slightly forward during sleep. This is the exact reason that The Snore Wizard was invented. Snoring problems and the more severe form, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) are common problems found in many households. OSAS is the most well manifested form of snoring diseases in which the affected person stops breathing during sleep due to an obstruction of the airway passage towards the lungs. Due to sleeping problems the affected individuals perform day time activities at a very reduced level, which gives rise to a wide range of problems, both from a medical and a social behavioral point

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Difficult Adjustment
While the product seems to work, it takes a long time to get used to. It causes excessive drooling and is uncomfortable. I find myself waking up during the night and taking it out in my sleep.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - No more snoring or apnea
The Snore Wizard works better than anything I've ever tried. My apnea was bad. I even unsuccessfully wore a C-Pap (I couldn't keep the mask on throughout the night). With the Snore Wizard is a bit uncomfortable for the first few nights. Expect your jaw to ache slightly in the morning till you get used to it. A good sleep mask & ear plugs are worth trying. Best of all, check out the book "The Hibernation Diet" by Michael McInnes. Science suggests that taking some honey prior to bedtime improves sleep dramatically. Your body heals much better & you even lose weight. It been a miracle for me. I've recommended it to lots of sleep deprived people & it works for everyone, but one.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Takes some getting used to
I don't snore when I am using the Snore Wizard. Haven't been able to sleep too well yet either. It holds the jaw in an unnatural position, I guess this is the whole point. My jaw is tense and does not relax. My lips dry out quickly and with the appliance in place, I can't moisten them. The first couple of nights I didn't sleep very soundly. The next few nights I slept better, but upon waking found that I had unconsciously removed it sometime during the night, defeating the whole purpose. I'm not ready to give up yet, but this is by no means an easy, quick fix.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - My wife says it works
The Snore Wizard seems to work for me. My wife says my snoring has stopped and now she can sleep as opposed to before.

The device takes a little getting used to, but I am sleeping much better after having used it a few days. I did trim a small piece from the lower edge that was irritating my gums. Now it fits comfortably. I was worried it would cause jaw problems, but has not.

If the Snore Wizard lasts as long as promised, it will be worth the cost, which is much less than a custom device.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Miracle
After years of putting up with my loud snoring husband, I am thrilled that with the Snore Wizard I now have the quiet I need in order to drift off to sleep and stay asleep. My husband snores all the time, even during commercial breaks if he chances to drift off for a moment. Any of you who have been put into this position know how awful a sleepless night can be, even worse if it is due to the loud drone of someone else snoring. I was frankly to the point that I was ready to move into another bedroom if things didn't change. I love my husband but I need some real sleep. That is when I took the chance to order the Snore Wizard. My hubby is very particular about things and I wasn't even sure he would wear it, but he has and consistently. This says a lot for the quality of the appliance and that it is comfortable to wear. The best part, is that it works and stops the awful snoring from the very first night. At last I know what it is like to lay my head on the pillow and quickly drift off to sleep. It is like a miracle. Jerri in VA

ST. PAUL (Reuters) - Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin kicked off a two-month battle for the White House on Friday with a promise that "change is coming," a theme co-opted from their Democratic rivals.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.
