Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Owned for 2 months - Good Overall - One Problem
Accurate. The setup is VERY simple, just follow instructions, takes a few minutes. Does BMI pretty well, cant vouch for water content, seems about right though.

The problem. Once you turn it on, you have to bend down and push a button on the side (side of top part) to select the user. Would be nice if you could do that with your feet. Minor/major i dont know. just my thoughts.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - As advertised!
This product is great to look at, nicely designed, and functions as advertised.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love this scale
I can't say enough good things about this scale. Setup is easy. You enter age, height and male or female.

Requires 4 AAA batteries - not included.

The instruction manual states this is not for people with Pace Makers or other implanted electric devices.

The manual also states that if pregnant, don't take the water and fat readings seriously. Wait until after giving birth and use the scale to help get back in shape.

When I get the ERR message, my feet are too dry. I stand on a damp wash cloth for a bit (brush teeth, gargle, whatever) then stand on a towel to pat dry. It works every time.

I have a treadmill with a heart rate monitor that uses contact pads like the scale. The owner's manual states that people with thick pads on their palms might have trouble getting a reading. I assume this would apply to feet, too.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Body Water Matters!
It may not seem obvious at first why you might care about your body water. In the description it says that "body water is an indicator of health" - but that's not the only reason to care.

My weight fluctuates a LOT with how much water I retain. This is affected by the time of the month or what I've eaten recently. I like to see my body water percentage because it helps me know if I've really lost or gained "weight" or if it's just water.

Many fad diets just force a temporary water loss. If people on those diets had this scale, they might notice that they lost a body water percentage equal to their supposed weight loss.

So overall, this scale offers the unique and outstanding ability to really break down where your weight change is coming from -- water, fat, or the other stuff (lean body mass).

Although the scale only shows you percentages, the booklet helps you translate that into actual pounds. Not too hard to figure out.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Salter Body Water-Body Fat Scale
I am absolutely delighted with this scale. Not only is it an accurate scale but gives me body water information as well. The strong glass base is not slippery at all and it fits our bath decor quite well.

You guys! Psyched about that whole Watchmen movie thing (previously, we've touched on Watchmen briefly, like, once or twice?), kinda wanna read the book, but you just can't see fitting a 400-page comic into your busy, busy schedule? Fortunately for you, there's The Condensed Version. (Via the often NSFW Journalista.)

Eureka! We'll call it...

NASA got a great big balloon for the 75th anniversary of its iconic Moffett airfield in the heart of Silicon Valley.…

All About N-Gage have the dirt on a game that looks like it has a lot of potential: Asphalt: Urban GT.  I can't say that I've played much more than some FIFA and other random stuff on the N-Gage, but a good racer can add a lot of value to a gaming platform.  Of course I'm still waiting to see if Call of Duty rocks as much as it should.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?
