Editorial Review:

Amazon.comGold-plated foils and titanium-coated trimmers give this rechargeable razor the edge over others when it comes to a comfortable, close shave--wet or dry. With their superior flexing ability, the two foils and one floating trimmer hug body contours, while the permanent soft comfort strip means less irritation. No-slip insets and a simple on/off button on the handle make operation simple. Easy to clean, the head flips open at the press of a button. An oval-shaped stand holds the razor upright as it recharges, and a triangular travel case neatly stores everything; including the foil guard and cleaning brush. The shaver also features worldwide voltage, making it great for taking overseas. Remington covers the shaver with a two-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Doesn't cut hair well, unreliable design
This razor doesn't cut my hair well at all--even under what the directions list as ideal condition. It's completely hopeless on knees, etc.

After two months of use, the rubber part at the base of the razor head began to shred itself. I looked into the provisions of the warranty. Note that while the razor does come with a two-year warranty, you need to 1. save your receipt, and 2. drive the razor to the nearest certified dealer. For me, the nearest dealer was an hour away--and I'm certainly not in the middle of nowhere.

The battery life seems to be fairly good; I awarded an extra star for that.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great electric razor
I owned my previous Remington Razor for 30 years and finally decided it was time to upgrade to a newer model. Not because it wasn't still working - because it was! But, really only because I wanted a cordless model. The obvious choice was Remington since my last Remington worked so well for such a long period of time. I love this new razor even more than the last and recoommend it highly. It gives a great dry shave (I haven't tried it wet) and handles really well. The only downside I have experienced is that it won't hold a charge for more than 2 days without being put back in the recharge base. I took it on a weekend trip without the charger and by the time I got home it needed recharging (and I only used it once while I was away). Other than that, this is a great razor.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this razor!
I was using disposable blades before I bought this shaver two years ago.
At first, I wasn't sure I liked it because I thought the shave was not as close as a blade. But, I decided to give it a chance. I'm so glad I did, because after I had some experience with shaving with it, I noticed that my sensitive skin did not break out any more and my skin appeared to glow! I love the silkiness I get with it. I keep it plugged in all the time and it always has more than enough power to do its job whenever I need it. I use it dry because I have arthritis and it is hard for me to shave my legs in the shower. I lay a towel down and shave right on the bed. It is so much quicker and easier than a blade. There is a row of cutters on the front of the shaver to go over spots that are stubborn, which is great. I have seen razors with rows on the front and back, but I think that would be paying for more than you need. I think the people that are having problems with cuts are using it like a blade. You have to learn to be gentle with your pressure and keep the razor flat against your skin, until you get the hang of it. I hurt myself when I used it for the first time when I shaved my underarms because I was too rough with it, but now I know how to do it and I can get a smoother shave there than with a blade. It feels good in my hand, not too big and not too heavy. I bought one of those cheap $7 electric razors to take on a trip with me, but it didn't cut anything, so don't waste your money on those. It is easy to use the brush to wipe out the hairs to clean it but be careful the razors in there are very sharp so don't run your fingers along them. The only negative is that it is a little noisy, but I think my husband's shaver is louder. The replacement blades are costly, but I still have the original blades inside my two year old razor. It comes with a zip carry case that I use when I travel. I bought a second one for traveling, I love it so much!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Close and comfortable shave!,
My old remington died on me after 4 years of loyal service. Instead of replacing the battery, I decided to replace the whole razor in order to upgrade my model. This model gives such a closer and comfortable shave! In fact, I get almost as close a shave with this electric razor than I do with a manual triple blade. I highly recommend it when you need to touch-up your legs or can't get into the shower to use a blade. Love it!! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the fairly loud noise the motor makes. But that seems to be inherent in most electric razors.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - coul be better
my wife used it and complain about not to be a great for shaving frecuently, if you understan how women are, please let me know I am just typing

Eclipse3.1M3 comes out later today..

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.
