Editorial Review:

Product DescriptionThe best ever designed Neti Pot! Dr. Mehta, Founder, President of NeilMed and developer of patented nasal irrigation systems, very strongly believes that no Neti Pot can be as effective as our patented positive pressure SINUS RINSETM device supported by most major medical centers in North America, published in medical journals and used by several millions worldwide. NeilMeds NasaFloTM Neti Pot comes with 50 packets of a precisely measured mixture of USP grade (99.9% Pure), preservative free Sodium Chloride and Sodium Bicarbonate mixture. Adding one packet of this patented mixture to 8 oz. (240 mL) of lukewarm water, makes a non burning, non stinging, soothing therapeutic solution that gently washes the nasal passages. The device allows for a smooth gravity flow that does not create any pressure in the nasal passage, ears or sinuses. This box also contains an extensive, illustrated, educational brochure on nasal and sinus disease, written by a Dr. Mehta. Neti Pots have been around for hundreds of years, are not a new concept at all and were the only way to deliver the solution in ancient times. In India, Yoga practitioners used it on a regular basis for cleansing the nasal passages. In Dr. Mehtas opinion, it is an alternate method of nasal irrigation and not as effective as NeilMeds SINUS RINSETM system. It did have a place for nasal irrigation but now should be used only for users who cannot take any pressure during the nasal rinse. Please read the warning and directions prior to use. Principles of Nasal Irrigation Allergies and Sinus disease cause excessive mucus production in the nasal passages. Nasal irrigation will wash away the excess mucus and allergens such as pollen, dust particles, pollutants and bacteria and reduce the inflammation of the mucus membrane. A normal mucus membrane will fight infections and allergies better and thus reduce symptoms of sinus disease and allergies.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Reduces my husband's sinus problems!
My husband has sinus problems regularly and using the Neti Pot has greatly reduced his post nasal drip. This allows him to decrease the need for taking antihistamines unless they are really necessary.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Wonderful Purchase
This is a wonderful product for people who have issues with their sinuses during the Allergy season. Really not that hard to use, it might take a couple attempts to get used to the idea of having water flowing through your nasal passages though. Not that expensive and well worth the comfort that it creates. I recommend neti pots to all allergy sufferers.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Poor quality, very disappointed
I was out of town and forgot to bring my Netipot, so I bought one of
these pots at the drugstore. The oddly shaped nozzle didn't fit my nose properly, it's not ergonomically designed like the standard Netipot shape.
I was miserable. I had to go online and buy a Sinucleanse pot which took two days to arrive. By then, my allergies had taken over. I guess they are sold out in the stores because they fit all nostril sizes!! I would not suggest this pot due to the shape, and poor quality plastic. It's clearly not "medical grade", so it seems to be adding more impurites rather than removing them (stinky chemical smell). Their salt packets seemed to burn a little.
You can buy a large tub of premixed solution that is far more gentle on the sinus membranes. Glad to be home. Once you rely on the Neti, it's hard to travel without one!! Nothing against the Netipot in general, just this version. Hope this helps others in their choices.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Worth Every Penny
I have suffered from outdoor allergies for a very long time and I have been taking allergy shots to help relieve the symptoms. The Nasaflo has been instrumental in getting rid of my sinus headaches. It is not uncomfortable or irritating and it promotes the draining of my sinuses. I would highly suggest giving this a try as I have depended on it to ease my symptoms. A simple, easy and very effective tool to use.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A product that REALLY WORKS!
I had been hearing a lot of great things about the use of Neti pots for sinus problems. I saw a demonstration on the Oprah show and decided to purchase one to see if it could help me.

I have had sinus problems for decades, and generally have had to be taking a 24 hour OTC product as well as additional headache and pressure relieving products when needed.

Since I have received the Nasaflo product, I have not had to take the OTC
products at all. I have only had a couple of minor headaches that I have not even had to take anything for.

A great product, and I have been recommending it to many other people who have sinus problems.

It is really wonderful to be able to purchase a product that works well, and not have to be putting unwanted meds into my body.

It was a bit entertaining the first few times I used it, learning to tip my head correctly so I would not be "watering" my clothes; as well as my sinuses.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.
