Rating: - Would not recommendThough this product has a great innovative idea.. (why didn't anyone think of doing this before???) I still think it falls short of any real benefits. The label reads: Supplement Facts Serving Size: 1 Packet Servings Per Container: Ingredient Amount Per Serving % Daily Value Calories Total 20 from Fat 20 Total Fat 2 g 3% Saturated Fat 0.5 g 3% Cholesterol 8 mg 3% Total Carbohydrate 0 g 0% Vitamin C 12 mg 20% Vitamin E 3 IU 10% Long Chain Omega-3 Fatty Acids 650 mg* EPA 350 mg DHA 230 mg* Stevia Leaf Extract 10 mg* It has Almost twice as much EPA as Kirklands ... Read More Rating: - no fishy taste!I ordered this product because my doctor recommended that I start taking Omega-3 supplements. My grandmother used to take fish oil capsules and she always complained about tasting fish for hours after taking the supplements. I chose this product since all the reviews said that it didn't have that affect. I keep these in the fridge and have one with dinner. I just tear the package open and squeeze the supplement into my mouth. I hardly taste it and it goes down really easy. Although I don't taste fish later on, I do taste orange. I would rather taste orange than fish, so I'm fine with that. These are easy to use and I'm happy with them. I'll definitely continue to ... Rating: - Keeps Me GoingI have been using Coromega for years. It is an excellent product that has a pleasant taste and is a good source of Omega-3 from fish oils. Rating: - Yummy! What a great way to get extra omega-3's (especially DHA and EPA) without "fish burps" or taking three or four capsules daily of fish oil or flax seed oil. It tastes great and is nice and smooth. |
Ted Shelton: "Frankly I felt that BlogOn was a waste of time and money."
I think the BlogOn conference was overproduced. In the name of professionalism the organizing firm turned off potential speakers, oversubscribed sponsors, etc.
I would have liked a debatable topic (aside from *blogging = journalism*. Two people slugging it out. Or a devil's advocate taking challenges from the floor.
I would have liked more hard numbers. Facts. Charts. Diagrams. We have the analytic tools to BS-check them; harder on vague opinions and single-points-of-observation.
I found it disturbing how much money was being commanded (from both attendees and sponsors) for a conference at a university. Maybe it was because it was at Berkeley? Maybe we should have taken over a community college or a Cal State or a DeVry. The facilities costs would have been cheaper at least. I heard an organizer apologize and say the next one would be at a hotel, like that would have been better.
Cost wasn't the whole problem. We're at a stage where early adopters are meeting folks who want to leap the chasm. Huge gaps in knowledge, experience, context, culture, vocabulary. It's the gap.
There are huge ideas to be explored, even in the world of applying blogs to media strategy and the enterprise. And most of the big ideas weren't even on the agenda at BlogOn. Probably because it was catering to those who want to commercialize, fund, and otherwise exploit (excuse me, "get in on") the emerging medium.
Let's fork these conferences so advanced topics on business and technology and culture fit the participants.
