Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfect for the job at hand
I purchased one of these Platinum XL nose hair trimmers recently to replace my trusty old Klipette trimmer that I had for the last 10 years or so. Unfortunately, that company went out of business and I was glad to find a company that is making something similar but actually much better. My Klipette worked great but was a bit small and not made of stainless steel so it was prone to corrosion.

The Platinum XL is nicely designed and easy to use and definitely feels like it will last a lifetime. What I really like about this type of trimmer is that it is compact. It will easily fit in your pocket for trimming on the go.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Avoid this item
Looks good. Cumbersom to use. You have to rotate with one hand and hold in position with the other hand. Some times you can feel hair pulling and painful. Better avoid this product

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Platinum XL Nasal Hair Trimmer
I purchased one of these nose hair trimmers a few years ago directly from the company that manufactures them and was impressed with the quality as soon as I opened the package. It has a very solid weight and feel and is a precision crafted tool. I had an occasion to purchase another one recently as a gift for my father-in-law and decided to buy an extra one for myself as a backup.

This trimmer only gets better with age. While both the older model and this newly delivered model appear the same the new trimmer has a very smooth action and the cutting ability seems far superior. Mind you, my old trimmer still cuts very well and never pulls hair but this revamped Platinum XL seems ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - couldn't get it to work
Put simply, this product was so terrible that I threw it out and bought a regular ole battery powered one. I just couldn't get it to cut the hairs. Instead it would catch them and then pull them out. Ouch.

Maybe it's just me, maybe I was using it wrong. Maybe I had a defective model. Maybe the product just doesn't work. I don't know and I no longer care to know.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Trimmer - Even Better Customer Service
There is not much that you can say about this trimmer. If you want to ditch those cheaply made throw away imports that require batteries or electricity to operate then this is the trimmer for you. It is extremely well made (solid) and very easy to operate. A few simple twists and you are done and without fuss or pain!

What I really want to review here is this company's incredible customer service. Listen up, all you other Amazon resellers and for that matter any other company doing business on the internet. I ordered this trimmer on a Monday and didn't realize until the next day that I had provided an incorrect address. I use Amazon.com frequently to purchase gifts for family ... Read More

Amazon.com is offering a so-called Black Friday special on Eye-Fi Share:
The 2 GB Wi-Fi-enabled Secure Digital card normally runs $90; it's $65 while the sale lasts.

Given that Eye-Fi introduced a limited-time-only 4 GB "Anniversary" model that replaced the 2 GB Share version in its current line-up, and that the Anniversary model was $130 list but $100 for Costco members, it's pretty clear that the 2 GB won't re-appear, the 4 GB model will drop in price, and Amazon's acting as a clearance center.

The Eye-Fi Share lets you upload pictures over a local network to a designated computer, or upload via a Wi-Fi network for which the Eye-Fi is configured to connect over the Internet to Eye-Fi's servers, and from there to a specified photo-sharing, social-network, or photo-printing service.

I'm a fan of the Eye-Fi, although I favor the currently $130 Explore model (see my review), which comes with geotagging (via Skyhook Wireless) and adds a year of included uploading via Wayport locations (now part of AT&T).

This year has seen several young companies--including Orbius--offering to harness the power of social networking for business.

SAP co-CEO Henning Kagermann allegedly held strong concerns at one point about the legal implications of buying TomorrowNow, the now-shuttered SAP subsidiary tied to a lawsuit filed by rival vendor Oracle.
