Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Essence e 5300
My husband bought the Advance when it came out many years ago. It recently wore out & was immediately replaced. It was replaced with the Essence e5300. My husband says he likes the new one even better.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cleans teeth well and improvement over prior models
I upgraded from the model 4700 when the batteries died after about 5 years. This toothbrush is lighter to handle and seems to clean even more effectively than the 4700. I do miss the feature that gave a slight sound after each 30 second interval (called the quadpacer feature), but was able to learn pretty quickly how many long to brush each section by just adding a small clock with second hand to my bathroom counter. I hestitated to replace my prior Sonicare just because I was feeling cheap (stock market, etc etc), and tried a Crest Spinbrush in the interim before getting the Sonicare, and there is NO comparison. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - very simple and functional
very functional toothbrush. wish it were just a warning after 2 minutes and not a complete stop

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Pleased
I bought this Sonicare toothbrush because my dental hygenist recommended it. I am very pleased with it. At first it's hard to get used to how it buzzes inside your mouth but once you do get used to it you will be surprised how thoroughly clean it get your teeth. You can feel the scrubbing action like crazy! Don't press hard, just let the buzzing brush rest gently on your teeth and do the work. Your teeth will feel as smooth and clean as if you just left the dentist's office after a cleaning. I highly recommend this product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Now I actually LIKE brushing
I bought this about a month ago to replace my terrible Oral-B Vitality which had died after less than a year. (You get what you pay for.) My boyfriend has been a Sonicare fan for a few years, and I decided to give it a try since he has very white teeth and never uses whitening products.

The difference is AMAZING. The toothbrush ramps up the intensity over the first 12 uses to prevent you from having a freak-out over the buzzing, but you'll be glad it gets up to its full power because it's a great feeling. Your teeth will actually FEEL and look brighter, and this is with regular toothpaste and no whitening strips or whatever. On a mildly gross note, when I floss post-Sonicare, I am ... Comedy Musicians Paul and Storm have started "25 Days of Newman" where they are offering a free brand new Randy Newman-inspired movie theme song every day until Christmas.

Nick Bradbury just had a tumor removed from his head. Glad to hear he's doing well:

The fact that I'm able to type this blog entry less than a week after the operation has me hopeful that recovery will be quicker than I was led to believe, but it will still be a few weeks before I'm able to really tackle any serious work.
