Fell apart after 4 months
Admittedly, I accidentally stepped on the speaker getting out of bed (during the night I had pulled it out from my pillow as it was uncomfortable.) But the speaker shouldn't have collapsed so easily, rendering that side useless. This was after the wires in the headphone jack loosened and rarely had a good connection - I used a rubberband for 3 months to keep it working and eventually had to replace the jack altogether. I loved these speakers but they just weren't as comfortable or durable as I would have wanted.
I have since bought the Sound Oasis Sleep Therapy Pillow Speakers and found the build quality to be superior; they're even more convenient because the left and right can be separated by as much as two feet. I would recommend skipping this one and trying those out for the same price.

Worked for Dad
My Dad is Very Hard to please.He is in a nursing home and wanted headphones so he could listen to his TV without disturbing his roommate. He couldn't make then go on and stay on his head. I saw this pillow speaker and bought it for him. He didn't like it under his pillow. He is having a hard time hearing and also nurses are having to adjust him all the time so I taped it to his bed rail and he loves it.

Helpful to drown out sounds
This item works well. I have some ringing in my ears and music coming from my pillow drowns out the ringing and helps me to me drift off to sleep. The sound quality isn't spectacular but good enough for the price and fulfills its purpose.

So far so good
I normally wait awhile to write reviews, but thought I'd do this one anyway even though I've only had this for about a month. I've used it about 5-7 times now and the sound, compared to the one I was using previously, is great. Even more important is that it's very comfortable to use and seems well built.

PillowSonic Stereo Pillow Speaker Review
I purchased this PillowSonic Stereo Pillow Speaker because I have been looking for a few weeks for a nice pillow speaker. When I placed this speaker under my pillow, I can't hear anything. When I placed the speaker between my ear and the pillow, I must turn the TV volume about ten times higher just to hear the TV. Of course have you ever tried to rest your head on a speaker? I have also found the only way to enjoy (?) this product is by laying the speakers on my ear as I rest on my side. So this becomes a sandwich, (in which you better not move) bed, pillow, my head, and then the speaker on top. This is not what I wanted. I would be better off just putting an ear plug in my ear and listening to the TV that way. Don't waste your money. You can buy mine for just the cost of shipping. One star is the best I could give this product. Sorry, but it just doesn't work.
